This is the original hat stiffener used by professional hat makers to add shape and body to felt hats. Once you have your felt hat in the desired shape, spray it all over with Kahl Hat Stiffener to hold the shape. Will not yellow or flake off. Gentle on tone and texture. Brush gently with a soft-bristled brush, following the nap. Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth; never soak felt or straw.
Felt breathes more than you would expect, but for high heat we point you to Panama, raffia and straw weaves.
Most styles run to 7 5/8. For anything beyond, request a custom fit — larger blocks are a specialty of our makers.
